Where does the K53 evolve from?
K53 is used throughout South African driving schools and testing centres to prepare a driver learner to study for the learners licence. This is the actual drivers preparation method that was used in United Kingdom in the 1980's, but was upgraded to suit the laws and rules of South Africa. The K53 involves the control of a car, the rules of the road and the road signs.
Writing your learners test
Preparing to write your drivers licence it shouldn't be a task that demands your leg and arm, but with the right information and study materials you should be able to ace it in the first attempt.
The book was designed with a learner in mind, remember you cannot attain a learners licence if you are under the age of 18, and to be able to write the test you have to be able to write and read. The learners licence test questions are presented in English, this book will help you to familiarise your self with the format of the questions in the actual test, especially for the rules of the road section.
The test lasts for one hour, and its done with the invigilator present to explain the process and how the marks will be allocated. To be on the safe side you can bring your own pencil, but they do provide pencils and answer sheets.
How is the learners test like? Remember in school, when you were writing the last exam of the year! Well, the feeling has not changed, expect that!!
Last but not least ... After you have received your learners licence you are not allowed to drive on your own, you always have to drive in the presence of a person who holds a valid South African licence And remember when you get your learners licence to keep left and pass right
