What to Do When Your Drivers Licence Has Been Cancelled?
There are a few reasons that your drives licence can be cancelled and sometimes it can be cancelled without you knowing. The worst is when the system declares your drivers licence cancelled and the licence centre cant give you a reason. (Do not believe this for a moment, take it up, tell them you deserve to know!)
These situations has happened a lot to people in South Africa and the ones who come back from working overseas to come home and find out their drivers licence have been cancelled.
This is a very desperate situation, and not knowing where, how, why to go or start it can be even more frustrating. There are these one words that I hope testing centres can stop saying. Instead of these unpleasing words say something else or say it in a kind manner.
"Sorry mem or sir you cant renew your drivers licence, because it has been cancelled, you need to go for your learners again"
I think when somebody tells you these words there need to be called the police, ambulance, flying squad, rescue 911, everything that has to do with emergency rescuing before they break it to you. I mean it this is not a joke, especially after you have been driving for years.
Fake & illegal drivers licence
But it should be a joke and an expectant situation when you know in the very first place that, you took your licence through the back door. In this case you should know that crime doesn't pay, we have been preaching all over this website, that do not bribe and do not take take bribes, because this is a very small country and when it comes to technology things might kick you off.
In the last month of July 2007, reports from the news have shown that many officials in testing centres have been arrested because of taking bribes and giving drivers licence to people who don't even go and bother booking for the test. And again the reports showed many driving testing centres being closed because of issuing fake and illegal drivers licences.
Think about it. If they are closing all these testing centres and arresting all these officials, don't you think they will come to check the records of the people that were issued drivers licence under their authority? If they cancel your drivers licence there is no need to call on the flying squad if your licence have been issued in this manner, because it was wrong in the first place. NOW, you my friend, step away from the counter go and try to get a learners appointment, if you can these days!

For all of those who delay to renew their drivers licence. Remember that a drivers licence is like a car licence disc, it is only valid for a certain period. Don't wait until your down and out to renew it. And yes to late renewals there will be penalties!
After maybe you have managed to solve the cancelled drivers licence, they will issue a temporary licence until you get your drivers licence.
