From the 5th of April to the 12th South African Testing Centres Are Changing to the New Licencing System
|
|
South African testing centres will be closed from the 5th to the 12th of April 2007. But please do take note that after this dates they will reopen again to the public on the 13th of April 2007. Many people thought that the testing centres are closing down for good, because of the booking failures. Its not true!
During the 5th and 10th of of April 2007 people in all over South Africa in all South Africa's testing centres will not be able to book for their learners and drivers licence. Neither will people be able to take their tests on these days no and vehicle testing stations will be closed. But please note this is only temporarily.
What will be happening during this dates is... eNatis National Traffic Information System of South Africa will be changing over to the new booking of learners and licence system. (Hallelujah!!!)
This is the system we have all been waiting for, the eNatis system is set to meet the higher demands of learners and drivers booking in South Africa and especially the Ekurhuleni Licencing centre. Also the GPG contact centre will be upgraded to the new system.
eNatis website reported that the system will be a more advanced computer technology function, that will be able to process transaction fast and will have a tight access control. ("We hope this means that it not allow people to change dates and access it as they choose, to limit corruption)
This change over from the 5th to the 12 may affect many business operations, road traffic and transport departments will also be affected. But the Director of Motor Transport Services, Sue Grobbelaar promises to keep the disruptions to as limited as they can.
The eNatis system will also affect the way the traffic officers check a the drivers details, stolen cars and car ownerships.
While the changing period is in progress, its affecting the Vehicle Testing Association and the Motoring Industry. Because for starters, its reported that no new or second hand car will be soled, no heavy vehicle testing will proceed on due dates. This may cause lots of motor car industry to loose in business. And of course the industry is not happy about this!
But now that we are informed about the changeover, we know for sure that it is in proceedings. We can only hope it works to its potential expectations...
If you thought the Governments Enatis system definition meant effective, working 100%! This is the actual definition of ENATIS (told by BJ's driving school)
E = Eish
N = Not
A = Available
T = Today
I = I'm
S = Sorry
failing a drivers test more than once is a big thing and some of us, have to go through it more than 4 times.
