Code 10 Licence Information

The code 10 as it is called is the heavy motor vehicle test. The test instructor will start off by explaining all the rules and regulations of the code 10 driving licence to you. The test examiner will also remind you that if the test is terminated at any stage, the full test will have to be repeated again. At this stage it is compulsory for the applicant to wear a seatbelt, and the “push and pull” method must be utilized. Traffic signs, road signals, road rules and road marking must be obeyed at all times during your examination or the test will be terminated. The code 10 driving licence test normally lasts for about 20 minutes, but exceptions are common.

What Happens If You Have An Accident?

If the applicant causes or gets involved in an accident which could have been avoided; the examiner will immediately terminate the test and fail the applicant. If the accident is considered to be unavoidable; the examiner will give the applicant the option of completing the code 10 drivers test. This option will only be given to you if the vehicle you are still in is roadworthy.
