The Interior Pre Trip Inspection | What You Must Know About The Pre-trip Inspection Drivers Test

After the exterior pre trip inspection is done, the examiner will request the applicant to enter the car and proceed with the interior inspection after that is done he/she will ask you to operate the lights, direction indicators, brake lights, wipers and the horn.

Keep in mind that during all this inspection the examiner has his stopwatch on, you need to work according to time.

You need to say the following when doing the interior car inspection:

1. You get into the car and say…

2. All doors closed

3. My seatbelt is adjustable (put it on)

4. All mirrors adjusted correctly

5. No obstructions on the dashboard and on my pedals.

6. Handbrake is up

7. The gear lever is on neutral

8. Demonstrate the functions of lights, indicators, wipers, hotter and brake lights.

Make sure that all that is indicated on the pre trip inspection is working, because if the examiner finds that some of the inspection parts are not working. The test will be discontinued and it’s a fail.
