How Do Driving Schools Operate?

We have more than a thousand driving schools in the country. They all use a different system of delivering good driving service to the learners applicants and drivers licence.

In this article I'm only going to give a standard procedure of how a driving school operates. This is for all the drivers test applicants who want to take driving lessons. Many people have reported not satisfied about the service they get from driving schools.

How much do driving schools?

Driving schools all over the country do not have a standard procedure of how much they charge for driving lessons. Most charge according to the time and effort put to the lesson giving.

Driving schools Hours

You can take lessons for as many hours as you like, depending on the availability of the driving school. Most driving school start offering driving lessons hourly. You can book for an hour or 2 hours or 3 hours.

Paying for driving lessons

Most of the driving schools prefer you to pay when you book a lesson. If you think you are going to need only 5 hours of driving lessons, you will need to pay for those lessons. But this is not preferable according to other driving school. What if you prepay for the 5 driving lessons and you cant make it.

It will be very difficult for them to return your money, that is the reason I advice every learner not to take driving schools packages. For example: 10 driving lessons for R880.

The best is to pay as you go. Pay for your driving lessons as you take them. What happened with me, when I took my driving lessons was, every time I take a lesson I paid.

When you pay for your driving lesson, they should give you a receipt and the driving instructor should have a driving record for all your lessons and payments.

Yard Practice lessons

In most cases the learners pays for his or her yard practice fees. If the driving should pay, they would include the money in your driving lesson fees.

Booking drivers test

Driving schools do charge for booking you a driving test. You can do it for yourself, but most people are just disappointed about the way the recent for bookings is going. So they will rather pay driving schools to book for them. Learner Sign | Displaying the Learner Sign on your Car

If it happens that during your driving lesson you have an accident or bump the car, to an extend that it gets damaged. The driving school cant hold you responsible for the damages costs.
