Peak operating times shown on the Gautrain Timetable are between 05.30 and 08.30 on weekdays and between 16.00 and 19.00 hrs on Monday to Friday business days. This is the time when the Gautrain would be carrying most traffic as commuters travel between their place of work and home.
Gautrain Timetable or Gautrain Schedule Summary
- During the twice daily 3 hour peak periods the Gautrain time table service intervals are 12 minutes apart... peak times for the Gautrain service are 05.30 to 08.30 and 16.00 to 19.00hrs
- Off peak Gautrain timetable period is between 08.30 to 16.00
- During off peak travel times the Gautrain timetable service operates at 20 minute intervals
- On weekends and public holidays the Gautrain time table service operates at 30 minute intervals
Stations for the Gautrain will open 15 minutes before arrival of the first train and the Gautrain station will close 15 minutes after arrival of the last Gautrain train.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that there are no Gautrain dedicated bus services operating to and from the Gautrain stations on weekends and public holidays.
Peak Gautrain Times and Non Peak Gautrain Times from the Gautrain timetable
There are two 3 hours peak periods operating times for the Gautrain service. These are designed to coincide with maximum passenger need. The Gautrain morning peak period is between 05.30 and 08.30 and the afternoon peak for Gautrain travellers is between 16.00 to 19.00hrs weekdays.
Gautrain travel on the weekend and public holidays is considered as off peak travel times for the Gautrain rail service.
Gautrain Morning Peak Operating Period for Gautrain Timetable Services
The Gautrain runs at 12 minute intervals during peak periods and at 20 minute intervals during the non peak period which starts at 08.30 and finishes at 16.00hrs.
