Gauteng's New Licence System To Work At The End of The Month
We have been hearing reports saying that the licence system in Gauteng is fixed. How true is this?
With the problems that Gauteng has been experiencing, finally the Premier of Gauteng has come to recognise that the Licencing booking system is the worst. From the 5th of April to the 12th South African Testing Centres Are Changing to the New Licencing System
People in Gauteng can not book for either their licences or learners through the so called "call centre", and now that some of the testing stations in Gauteng have begun to take bookings themselves, it has not yet solved our licencing problems.
More people pitch up to book and only to find that its already full with the high number that the testing centre is experiencing, take Rooderpoort testing centre for example.
The Premier of Gauteng Mbazima Shilowa was reported saying that the MEC for Public Transport, Roads and Works will fix the licence booking system before the end of the month. Shilowa promised to create a system whereby people will have to book using SMS, telephone and internet and all testing centres will have booking terminals.
As the residents of South Africa and in need of drivers licences, we hope that this third system that is promised to us, to make bookings easy it will work. Because there are many systems that have been said they were under development and we will be able to use them as soon as their finished but none of those have ever been finished.
All our eyes are on them, we will be buying airtime to just to make SMS booking, the telephone system, I just hope its better than the call centre we have now. And as for booking through the internet, well we will also have to wait and see its function (and hope there will not be offline most of the time)
My wish is for this new system to work this time....Once again I put my trust on it and hope for the best!
